What is in these schemes of work

A scheme of work breaks a term into weeks and lessons before the term starts.

Week and lesson numbers across the whole term, matched to the school calendar
Strand and sub-strand exactly as the KICD rationalised design names them
Specific learning outcomes, the key inquiry question and the core competencies each lesson builds
Learning experiences, the resources the lesson needs, and how the learner is assessed
A reflection column the teacher fills in as the term runs

It is the document a head of department asks for in week one, and the one an assessment officer checks against the record of work at the end of term.
