What is in these lesson plans

A lesson plan is one lesson written out before it is taught.

  • The strand, sub-strand and the specific learning outcomes for that single lesson
  • The key inquiry question that opens it
  • Introduction, lesson development step by step, and conclusion, with the time each takes
  • Core competencies, values and the pertinent and contemporary issues the lesson carries
  • Learning resources, the assessment used, and a reflection written after the lesson

These follow the format schools submit for lesson observation, so they can be taught from as they are or adapted to the class in front of you.
